Student Health Center
Main Content
In 2002, the Board of Trustees approved a project to design and construct a new Student Health Programs facility on the Carbondale campus. The Student Health Center is a 62,000 square foot, two story building located at the southeast corner of the Student Recreation Center and houses the Student Health Program as well as the Student Emergency Dental services. This ADA compliant facility includes patient exam rooms, office space and an educational classroom space for cooperative programming with academic disciplines such as sports medicine, rehabilitation services and physical therapy. This location is more accessible to major student resident areas, both on campus and in the Carbondale community. Independent mechanical systems and an updated building design allows the facility to play an important role in campus disaster response efforts and the provision of medical service to the campus community.
