Our team is always working on projects to improve our campus. Below is a list of projects completed or nearing completion just from the summer.
Project Highlights:
- Life Science Lab Renovation: Major updates completed for Neckers Building Lab 305.
- Evergreen Terrace: Siding and gutter replacement project is underway.
- Transportation Education Center (TEC): HVAC system updates.
- Wall and Grand Apartments: Design and installation of a new camera system.
- Power Plant: Turbine overhaul to ensure efficient energy production.
- Touch of Nature: Roof replacement and various renovations for OIKOS cabins.
- Beef Center: Building upgrades to improve functionality and safety.
- Lawson Hall & Lesar Law Building: LED lighting upgrades for improved energy efficiency.
- Engineering Building: HVAC upgrades to enhance climate control and energy efficiency.
- Lentz Dining: Kitchen equipment updates.
- Davies Hall: Installation of a new generator for backup power.
- Bowyer Hall: Roof replacement to address weather-related wear.
- Faner Hall: LED upgrades and various office renovations.
- Dunn-Richmond: Carpet replacement and office updates, various locations.
- Pulliam Hall: Office updates to modernize the workspace for STEM and other office relocations.
- Lesar Law Building: Updated signage for branding.
- Neckers/Engineering Crosswalk: ADA access improvements for increased accessibility.
- Parking Lots: Exterior LED lighting updates across various locations.
- McLafferty Annex Building: Significant work completed to support BioLaunch programs and planning for the IFERM hub.
- Utility and Infrastructure Projects: Several essential utility projects and infrastructure updates, including water line replacements and steam tunnel repairs, were completed this summer. While these projects may not be visible, they are crucial to ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of campus facilities.
Please note that this list is not exhaustive of all the work completed by FEM this summer. Many additional efforts, particularly in utility and infrastructure maintenance, help keep the campus running smoothly and efficiently.
